Problems with men's health, isolation, loneliness and depression are looming as major health issues for men. Men's sheds can play a significant and practical role in addressing these and other men's issues. Men’s sheds can help connect men with their communities and mainstream society and at the same time act as a catalyst in stimulating their community's economic activities.

The Winchelsea Men's Shed is under construction and will soon be open to members and visitors.

1. What are the benefits of a men's shed to you?
   Meeting other men, socialising, gaining new skills, mentoring, getting out of the house, a place to go and do things, visiting other sheds in the area, showing skills to people, common projects and conferences.
2. What would encourage you to come to Men's Shed?
   Getting away from isolation, to find companionship with other men, men's talk, footy tipping, learning new skills, belonging to something, curiosity, donating time and skills to other groups, BBQs, outings.
3. How would you like to contribute to a Men's Shed?
   Friendship, donation of tools eg. woodturning lathe, BBQ, electrical items, tools, building materials, design skills, painting and decorating ideas.
