Broadway at the Mansion brings you stars of the Australian musical theatre, performing a benefit concert in aid of the Winchelsea Hospital Building Appeal. Settle back with a picnic and a glass of wine on the lawn of Barwon Park and enjoy a fantastic program of favourite hits - La Boheme to Wicked - in an amazing setting.
Broadway at the Mansion takes place on Sunday 2nd March, gates open at 4:30pm for a 6:00m performance. Find Barwon Park with Google Maps . All tickets include a tour of the Mansion prior to the show. Bring your own picnic with rug or deck chair (sorry, no BYO alcohol). Premium wine will be available by the glass and exceptional gourmet food hampers will be available but must be pre-ordered ($32). This is an all weather event. She has worked theatrically with disadvantaged young people in the desert regions of Australia including Alice Springs. Many performers and theatre-goers will remember her for her role in establishing and developing Chapel Off Chapel - a small Arts Centre in Prahran! Erin Cornell Started her musical and dramatic training at the age of ten. She graduated from the Music Theatre course at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2005. Since then she has had great success with her Caberet shows Erin Cornell does-Shwartz and Erin Cornell is... She has twice been featured in the prestigious Hats Off concert in Melbourne, starred as Cindy in Beauty Spot for Magnormos Productions and has only just returned from a year of playing Elpheba in WICKED at Universal Studios Japan. Martin Croft Starred in most of the major shows of the last 25 years in Australia, the UK and USA including Jesus Christ Superstar; Les Miserables; Godspell; Cats; Miss Saigon; The Phantom Of The Opera. Producer and performer in; Closer Than Ever; Putting It Together; Joes Starts Again. Resident Director for; Les Miserables; The Boy From Oz; Oliver. Mark Jones Performance credits include: Me & Mr Jones; The Beautiful Losers; Three Weill Men; Jacque Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris; The Magic Faraway Tree; Elegies; The Tales Of Peter Rabbit. Mark also spent two years with the popular vocal/comedy group "The Phones". He can be heard on two original cast recordings - "Three Weill Men" and "Jacque Brel - the songs of...". As an accompanist he has played for: Judi Connelli, John O'May, Melissa Langton, Deidre Rubenstein, Marina Prior, Toni Lamond, Suzanne Johnston, Susan-Ann Walker and Silvie Paladino. Melissa Langton Has been performing since 1992 when she appeared in Jesus Christ Superstar - The Concert. Other music theatre credits include Les Miserables, Marry Me A Little, Crusade, Life By Drowning, Martin And Gina, Brigadoon, Sideshow Alley, After The Beep, Eurobeat And Carousel, We Will Rock You (Killer Queen), and in 42nd Street (Maggie Jones). As a member of The Fabulous Singlettes, Melissa has performed in Germany, Italy, Austrlia, New Guinea plus the Pirates of Penzance, and they toured Australia and NZ in The Mikado and HMS Pinafore. Helen Noonan For most of her career has been involved in the creation of many new performance works - caberet, concerts, new operas and musicals. Roles Helen has performed with Chamber Made Opera include: Recital, The Heiress, The Cars that ate Paris, Sweet Death, Motherland. Helen has also worked with Opera Australia, the VSO, MTC and Victorian Opera. Music theatre: Carlotta in "The Phanton Of The Opera" - performed over 1400 times. As a Churchill Fellow Helen researched for her new shows: "Shakespeare Sung" and "Voicing Emily". Matthew Robinson Actor, writer and musician. Original Australian cast of Mamma Mia! direct from WAAPA, Pippin, Hortensio in Kiss Me Kate; the narrator and musician in Two Weeks With The Queen; Eurobeat - Almost Eurovision, title role in the contemporary opera McCubbin; and Teague in God's Last Acre. TV guest roles on Stingers and Blue Heelers, performed alongside Mary Tyler Moore in A Most Deadly Family, appeared in the Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks teleseries The Pacific and a special guest on GMA and Mornings with Kerri-Anne. Thomas Williams Has been playing piano for over ten years. Since 2005 he has appeared throughout Melbourne as Associate Artist/Musical Director for shows within the 2006 Melbourne Fringe Festival, Melbourne University College Musicals, 2007 Comedy Festival, Liederfest Competition, 2008 Midsumma Festival and at The Butterfly Club. This year, Tom will be entering his third year of Bachelor of Music, University of Melbourne (Conservatorium) where he specialises in Performance and German. In 2003, he was awarded his AmusA on Piano.
